All students enrolled in our lesson program receive a private lesson each week with one of our world-class instructors. Private instruction is at the core of what we do, and the most important educational setting for a music student who wishes to excel in other areas of music. Our lessons are key to a child's growth as a musician, and much more rigorous than group lessons received through public school. A one-on-one lesson allows the teacher to tailor the curriculum to the individual needs of the student, and maximizes their potential.

Unlike many privately run music schools, each of our students has the same teacher throughout the school year, ensuring that they can grow with a consistency in instruction and curriculum. Many of our staff members have worked at the MAF for years, and build lasting relationships with their students and families. In addition, all of our teachers hold advanced degrees in music, and are held to the same standards as other private schools in our area. We are proud to say that there is no better music education available on Long Island, whether in-person or virtually.

Students enrolled in private lessons have the opportunity to participate in many performances, classes, and workshops throughout the year including studio recitals, prep classes, workshops with industry professionals, jazz nights, Friday Night Promenades in Garden City, a Winter Concert, and in our Annual Recital and Fundraiser Dinner, which takes place each June.
