Recitals & WORKSHOPS

Annual Student RecitalS

Each June, the Music Academy Foundation hosts Student Recitals at Hofstra University, which feature the talents of our students and faculty members. Our annual recitals take place in June and give our students a chance to showcase their talent for an audience of family and friends. Performing builds confidence in children and helps them develop skills that they will use throughout life, whether giving a presentation in front of their class at school or participating in NYSSMA or college auditions. Additionally, these recitals are key fundraising events that enable us to continue or mission and various programs.

Rock bands & Assorted Concerts

Our Rock Bands perform at least twice a year at the Cornerstone Pub in Mineola. As part of a rock band, students meet each week to rehearse under the guidance of one of our expert instructors. Our students have also performed at the Garden City Tree Lighting and at the Garden City Promenades which take place on Friday nights in the summer. They have been featured as part of the Virtual Village Show as well.
